Robert Zawadzki is a Polish film and stage actor.

He trained at the Academy of Theatre Arts, Wroclaw, Poland; He also completed postgraduate studies of Cultural Management at the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw. In this moment he is a PhD student at Lodz Film School.

 

His theatre work includes: Quietly (Abbey Theatre, Dublin), Macbeth, Who is that Bloodied Man?, Carmen Funebre (Biuro Podrozy Theatre, Poznan), The Forefathers, Marat Sade, Burning Russia (Modjeska Theatre, Legnica), Malambo (Drama Laboratory, Warsaw), The Shoemakers (Baltic Dramatic Theatre, Koszalin).

 

Robert has collaborated with numerous Polish, European and American Theatres including Studio Theatre, Warsaw; InVitro Pre-Premiere Stage, Lublin; Modjeska Theatre, Legnica; Dramatic Theatre, Opole; Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh; Liryc Theatre, Belfast, Soho Theatre, London; Irish Repertory Theatre and Public Theatre, New York.

He was honoured in the "On The Top" category in a " List of Theatrical Actors" in Poland in 2010;

In 2016, he recieved a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of Poland for young talented artists. 

He made his debut as a director in 2012 with Games in the Backyard (Dramatic Theatre, Opole).

 

Film credits include The Pianist (2002), Within the Whirlwind (2010),My Big Fat Moonie Wedding (2007), Wenecja (2010), Anna and Modern Day Slavery (2012), Der Sundenfall (2012). Robert has also appeared in a several television shows including Murphy's Law (BBC), Czas Honoru, Drogi do wolności, (TVP), Na wspolnej, Prawo Agaty (TVN), Pierwsza Miłość, Przyjaciółki (Polsat).
